The ISTE 2022 conference is back in-person this Summer and I'm so excited to get back to networking and learning with my fellow educators. A topic that I've held a lot of interest in over the past few years is augmented and virtual reality in education. Since the pandemic, AR and VR implementation in K-12 classrooms slowed drastically because of the concern of transmitting COVID. But now that things are slowly getting back to normal, students are back in classrooms, and we have a better grasp on health and safety, AR and VR is becoming a hot topic again!
And it definitely has a growing interest represented in all of the amazing sessions at #ISTE22!

AR and VR Playground: Discover the ISTEVerse
Sunday, June 26, 2022 | 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
The AR and VR playground will be packed with 12 different presentation tables ranging from LiDAR, Merge EDU, CoSpaces Edu, AR/VR for Science, Apple Object Capture, Adobe Aero, Web AR, and more.
There will also be 8 different stage presentations with topics focused on students as creators, Meta Oculus Quest in schools, Merge Cube, and more!

ISTE Immersive VR Experience
Wednesday, June 29, 2022 | 9:30 am - 1:30 pm
The brand new ISTE Immersive VR Experience is a unique opportunity to explore what VR has to offer education, highlighting the Meta Oculus Quest 2 VR headset.
The event will include 3 VR stations, each with their own focus. The Learn Station will take you through the basics of VR in the Quest 2 headset. At the Experience Station you will get the try two great educational VR apps. At the Create Station you will have the chance to create in VR!
As you wait for each station you will have an opportunity to scan in to various AR videos that will highlight important topics in VR such as safety, use cases, and the future of VR.
The event will also include eight stage presentations with topics ranging from XR for Social Good, The Power of WebXR, Unlocking History with XR and more!
